Disaster Relief Project

East Baton Rouge, LA

September 9-14, 2018

Join our Disaster Response Team as we travel to East Baton Rouge, LA, and serve with Samaritan’s Purse. Samaritan’s Purse has reserved volunteer housing for a team of TEN adults, 18 years and older. The team will be part of a larger group rebuilding homes in an area damaged by flooding. Volunteers need no special skills, only a desire to serve alongside other willing hands.

 Refugee Family Needs

During the last year folks from Greenwich have been working and praying for a meaningful way to be involved in ministry to refugees. We have recently been connected with a family in need (a married couple with four children). The husband was employed by U.S military forces in Afghanistan and the family is now under serious threat as a consequence of their cooperation. We’ve helped furnish an apartment and with other basic living needs, but the one need that remains is a family vehicle. If you or someone you know may be interested in donating a mini-van or SUV, please contact Mike Edwards at or 202.415.2131. Also, if you would like to be added to the Refugee Ministry Team to receive future updates, contact the church office at
