Call to Worship (from Ephesians 1)

Leader: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
People: Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
Leader: In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins,
People: In accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.
Leader: Christ is risen!
People: The Lord is risen indeed! Alleluia!

That Easter Day with Joy Was Bright

That Easter day with joy was bright,

the sun shone out with fairer light,
When to their longing eyes restored,

the glad apostles saw their Lord.
His risen flesh with radiance glowed,

his wounded hands and feet he showed
Those scars their solemn witness gave

that Christ was risen from the grave
O Jesus, strong in gentleness,

come now yourself our hearts possess,
That we may give you all our days,

the tribute of our grateful praise.

Morning Prayer

Almighty God, your Son Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. Give us grace to love one another and to follow in the way of his commandments, and to share his risen life; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

The Apostles' Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth;

And in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.

Open Our Eyes

Open our eyes, Lord, we want to see Jesus
To reach out and touch him,

and say that we love him
Open our ears, Lord, and help us to listen
Open our eyes, Lord, we want to see Jesus

May the Lord, mighty God,
Bless and keep you forever.
Grant you peace, perfect peace,
Courage in every endeavor.
Lift your eyes and see His face,
And His grace forever.
May the Lord, mighty God,
Bless and keep you forever.
