SAFE MINISTRY

SAFE stands for:

S – Security

A – And

F – (church) Family

E – Emergencies

Safety is an essential part in the design of services and ministries at our church. As a result, we provide a volunteer ministry, the SAFE Team, to help us keep the church safe on Sunday mornings.

The SAFE Team has three components:

1.      SAFE Team members

On Sunday mornings you will likely be greeted at our front door by a SAFE Team member. They will be wearing a name tag and may also have an earpiece on so they can communicate with other team members. These folks are helpful volunteers watching over our campus on Sunday mornings and available to assist if needed.

2.      Law Enforcement Officer

The SAFE Team partners with the Prince William County Police Department to help maintain the safety of our campus. On Sunday mornings you will likely see a police car at the front of our building and an officer posted inside the building. Having an officer present helps to strengthen safety at Greenwich and provides fast access to other first responders should there be a medical or other emergency event. Feel free to introduce yourself to the officer and thank them for their service!

3.      Medical professionals

Several church members have professional training in the medical field. The SAFE Team also partners with these volunteers. Should assistance be needed, they have agreed to lend their services to help with medical issues.
